Strawberries 7 Ways

Three cheers for my favorite berry. You ought to be a proper noun, Strawberry. I could rave on and on about the strawberry: how sweet it is on shortcake, how juicy it tastes at the bottom of a champagne flute, how it makes my breakfast smoothies happy and pink. I picked 19 lbs of fresh organic perfect strawberries this summer, and all was gone in the matter of 2 weeks. 19 pounds of strawberries, in my belly. Sorry I’m not sorry, strawberry.  Here are some ideas to get creative with the berry that knows no bounds:

1) Peanut butter strawberry cups. (I recommend fresh ground honey roasted peanut butter).

2) Frozen Greek yogurt dipped strawberries.

3) Frozen strawberry skewers.  Keep in freezer and have on hand for unexpected guests.

5) Mini strawberry pancake skewers.

6) Strawberry ice ball! Serve with wine, water, green juice…anything.
