101 in 1001: François the (French) Fish

IMG_0551I went out for groceries yesterday, and came home with a new pet fish. It wasn’t an impulsive purchase, I’ve wanted a goldfish for a long while. I wanted one because they remind me of my childhood, I love having animals around, and they are low maintenance (I feed him every other day a few pellets, and will be changing his water once a week).

IMG_0566IMG_0549IMG_0553I’ve set an intention to focus on small, simple things that brighten my day (see my weekly 5 Wins series for more things that make me smile). Life is busy and hectic. François the (French) Fish reminds me to slow down and enjoy the simple things in life.

This crosses off #45 on my 101 things to do in 1001 days list.  Welcome to the family, Frank. I promise to not let the furbaby eat you.

I am a lifelong New Yorker who recently swapped the subway for the California sunshine. I'm 6'3" tall, and am always working my way through a list of creative projects that's longer than myself. I have a natural curiosity for figuring out how things are made. Currently hooked on Fabletics, dried mango, succulents and my labradoodle. When I'm not blogging here, you can find me designing jewelry, concocting new fragrances for my bath & body shop, daydreaming about one day living on a flower farm, and sourcing and shipping your jewelry supplies.
