This gilded gold foil terra cotta pot DIY couldn’t be easier! I love how it adds just a touch of soft gold to a space. It doesn’t all together transform the earthiness of the terra cotta pot, it just adds a hint of organic luxury.
WHAT YOU NEED
-terra cotta pot(s)
-spray adhesive (I used Elmer’s craft bond spray adhesive) *you might want to wear a mask while spraying adhesive!*
-(optional) sealant. I used this one
THE INSTRUCTIONS
Spray a section of your pot with your adhesive. Be sure to put some paper down so you don’t get the adhesive on your table or counter. I found that when I sprayed too much, the gold didn’t transfer as well. So keep it about 12″ away, and spray very lightly.
Take your gold foil, and place it where you sprayed, buy viagra online next day delivery gold side facing up. Take your fingers and rub it gently and evenly onto the pot.
Tada! The gold transfers just like that.
I tried different techniques to get the gold onto the pot. Instead of spraying the pot, I sprayed the back of the foil, and then placed it onto the pot and rubbed with my hand. Both methods work well, although I will say, the lighter the glue, the better. There were areas where the gold didn’t take, so I went back over them with more foil and adhesive. I think less is more with the gold though, the unfoiled spots make it looks so cool.
Before potting your plants, spray your sealant on your pot evenly and let dry. (optional)
