All you have to do is color in a box each day you perform a habit. The more color at the end of the tracking session, the more progress you made in building the habit.

WHAT IS A HABIT TRACKER?

A habit tracker is a tool that monitors how well you are building new habits or breaking them! It helps you track progress and keeps you accountable for specific goals.

A habit tracker visually represents how well you are sticking to a goal. 

For example, my goal is to meditate daily. I am meditating a lot more frequently, but only when I start to use a tracker do I realize I'm only meditating three times a week when I thought I was closer to five or six days a week.

A habit tracker can help you become more aware of your performance. Once you commit to tracking your habits, you will have exact data on how often you hit daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly goals.

Using habit tracking will give you insight into your habits and allow you to learn more about yourself.

USE THE MONTHLY OR YEARLY LAYOUT (OR BOTH)

This free download arrives with two files: the monthly habit tracker printable and the yearly habit tracker printable.

Here are the steps to use each:

The monthly habit tracker printable 

  1. Color in the monthly box at the top.
  2. List up to 15 habits you wish to track over the month.
  3. For each one, color in the box for each day of the month you perform the habit.
  4. The more colored boxes you see at the end of the month, the more you performed the habit.

The YEARLY habit tracker printable 

  1. Fill in the top blank spaces, "year" and "habit for up to three habits you wish to track over the year.
  2. Color in the box for each day of the year you perform the habit.
  3. At the end of the year, count all the colored boxes.
  4. Divide that number by 365, then multiply by 100 to find your habit's success rate for the year.

Idea: You could use the yearly tracker to track one habit at a time and document three consecutive years to compare how your success rate improves.

  3. List the habits you wish to track.
  4. Color in a box each day you perform a habit.
