I adore the many patterns and colors of origami paper. It’s hard to choose just one, there are so many beautiful prints. I’ve also recently discovered the magic that is Mod Podge. Origami paper + Mod Podge = endless possibilities.

WHAT YOU NEED

I found some Moleskine notebooks, but they felt a little sad with just the kraft paper covers. Here’s what you’ll need to transform these notebooks into a little piece of art that make a perfect gift:

Moleskine notebooks

8.5 X 11″ or larger origami paper

Mod Podge

Sponge or brush

Scissors

Pencil

Here are my notebooks. They are 5 X 8.25″ in size, and arrived in a pack of 3.

I found this origami paper here.

Lay the notebook on the paper and press flat. Trace the outline of the notebook with a sharp pencil and cut out.

Spread the Mod Podge with a brush or sponge all over the back of the paper, don’t forget the edges.

Line up your notebook with the Mod Podge paper and smooth out with your hands. Trim any imperfections with scissors.

Hard to believe a DIY so easy could be so adorable!
