What’s better than chocolate and peanut butter together…for breakfast? Not much! This has been a staple in my smoothie repertoire for years. For as decadent as it tastes, it’s not overly indulgent, and it has 40+ grams of protein to keep me going til lunch (between the yogurt and whey protein). And how about these birch tree straws?!?
WHAT YOU NEED
1 ripe banana
2 tbsp of cacao powder (this one is the BEST)
2 tbsp of peanut butter
1/2 cup of Greek yogurt (I like Fage because it’s unsweetened)
1 tsp honey
1 scoop of protein powder (I like vanilla)
Ice
3/4 cup of water
THE INSTRUCTIONS
Throw all ingredients in a blender and blend buy viagra online ontario until smooth. I can’t recommend this blender enough. I always joke, it does everything but the dishes. This recipe makes two 12 oz smoothies or one monster 24 ounce smoothie.
I love all things birch. Probably because the house I grew up in was surrounded by birch trees my dad planted. They also remind me of my Scandinavian decent. When I saw these clever birch inspired straws via Amazon (prime!) for $7? I was all, YES PLEASE! I always use a straw for my morning smoothies…it slows me down and allows me to savor my smoothie a little longer.
