What DO I NEED, AND HOW LONG WILL THEY TAKE TO MAKE?
The three ingredients you need are:
- chocolate
- puffed quinoa
- coconut oil
Making these quinoa chocolate bars will take less than 10 minutes in total.
After preparing, you will want to put the bars in the refrigerator to let the chocolate harden for at least 20 minutes before nibbling!
HOW DO YOU POP THE QUINOA?
There is no need to pop or toast your quinoa. This puffed quinoa is the best to use.
WHAT KIND OF CHOCOLATE IS BEST TO USE?
I discovered this premium semi-sweet chocolate at Whole Foods. It's made from all-natural ingredients and is completely free from common allergens (wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, casein, soy, egg, sesame, sulfites, lupin, mustard, fish, shellfish, crustaceans, GMOs, gluten).
I LOVE that this chocolate includes only three ingredients (cane sugar, unsweetened chocolate, cocoa butter).
It's the perfect chocolate for melting and dipping and tastes great!
WHAT KIND OF COCONUT OIL IS BEST TO USE?
I use Trader Joe's organic virgin coconut oil. It's unrefined, but you only use a little with the chocolate, so you don't get any of the coconut flavor.
